Items for sale will include: tools, books, furniture, household items and more. Those who wish to donate items to sell may contact Dennis Anderson at 747-5562 or Erika Steinhardt at 838-1375.”
This is part of a citywide effort to develop more community gardens. The projects are partnerships between the City of Spokane, interested neighborhoods, and other organizations. Last summer, gardens were dedicated in Hillyard and in East Central on vacant City Water Department land. More City-sponsored community gardens are being planned, including The Commons.

-On Saturday March 13th, The Arts & Crafts Movement in the Pacific Northwest exhibit kicks off, running until June 26th at The Mac. From the MAC: “Early 20th century Northwest architects, furniture manufacturers, craftspeople, artists, and photographers expressed the new Arts & Crafts style with a regional flair. Now, a century later, Craftsman architecture, hammered metal work, ceramics, embroidery, and graphic design have reached another peak in popularity. The 1904 copper fireplace from the Davenport family apartment in Spokane introduces a traveling exhibit by former MAC Director Glenn Mason and architectural historian Lawrence Kreisman. An adjacent exhibit highlights the museum’s Campbell House and Davenport Decorative Arts Collection.”
