Attended a great fundraiser on Saturday night put on by the Hispanic Business Professionals Association and the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. I’m pictured here with outgoing HBPA president Lily Baldwin-Garduño and incoming president Mike Gonzalez (KXLY anchor and Hispanic Food Network creator). The goal was to raise money for book on the amazing art of Spokane’s Ruben Trejo, who passed away this past summer. The book is to be published to coincide with a major new show of Trejo’s work at the MAC this Spring. Kudos to everyone who worked on this fun event. The people were great, the food was fabulous, and I was even conscripted into taking Merengue lessons. Anyone interested in supported this effort can contact Art Curator Ben Mitchell at the MAC.
